Reflection on MPU

This is a post of my reflection on this Personal Development class.

I have attend this class for one week time. The activities conducted have widen my knowledge and thoughts. In my opinion, all these lessons and classes carried out have made me to have a clearer view of my future career pathway. Also, by doing Personality Test, Career Test and Learning Styles Test, I have learnt to constantly make reflections on myself so that I can get a better sense of who I am as a person, for example "what are my personality traits".

Besides that, I have done S.W.O.T Analysis and S.M.A.R.T Goals. The S.W.O.T Analysis really helped me to identify my own strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The S.M.A.R.T Goals is a method of setting life goals and achieving them.

Furthermore, I have come across with a various types of educational applications like Edmodo, Prezi, Powtoon and more. All students are required to submit their assignments online using these educational applications. In my point of view, I believe that these educational applications will help me in my future presentations a lot. E.g. animation videos, mind-map and the others.

Overall, the classes and activities conducted are beneficial and informative.

Thank you.

Reflection 1

I believe that everyone has a person in your life that you know you can count on. To me, it would be my mother. A mother's love is priceless. I love my mother and I am grateful for having her in my life. A mother's love is something that no one can explain. It is made up of sacrifice and deep devotion and pain.

Me, as a teenager, sometimes have some argument going on with my mother. But, looking back now, I think that must have caused so much trouble to her. And I realized that all these problems are caused by my ignorance. My mother is a loving and patient person. She gives me everything within her so that I can succeed in life.

My mother is the dearest person to me and I admire her because of her compassion, patience and toughness. It is true that I can never repay the love, care and time my mother gave me to bring me up. So, this is why I always let my mother know how much I appreciate her in my life through words and actions because she is my lifelong heroine. I now know that a mother's love will forever remain in our hearts.

Don't ever take their love as granted and never ever break her heart.

I love you, mum.

Taylor's Graduate Capabilities

Taylor's Graduate Capabilities (TGC) helps students to develop these capabilities so that they can be competitive in the working world upon graduation.

TGC focuses on ensuring each student is able to acquire and demonstrate discipline-specific knowledge, lifelong learning, thinking and problem-solving skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills, intrapersonal skills, citizenship and global perspectives and digital literacy.

I, as Taylor's graduate must be adaptable to the changing, challenging and competitive working world and have the ability to tackle with new tasks.

It is important for students to develop these graduate capabilities and demonstrate those important capabilities through reflection. As shown in the diagram below, firstly, by mastering communication skills, students are able to communicate appropriately in various settings and modes. Besides that, by acquiring interpersonal skills, students are able to understand and mobilise the power of teamwork. Moreover, students are able to perform tasks which are related to the use of ICT and related technologies effectively through digital literacy. Lastly, Taylor's students are able to learn independently and be intellectually engaged while they are going through a lifelong learning process.

Kinesthetic--They like doing experiments and hands-on stuff.

CAREER TEST

Comment:

I think this career test is partly accurate because I am only partly agree to the career personality traits as i am more interested in the jobs which are science-related. However, at some point, this career test is quite accurate because I prefer to listen to the other and sometimes tend to be very quiet and I don't really like to the centre of attention.
Overall, it was a great learning experience.
Personality Test

RESULT:
Introversion + Sensing + Feeling + Judging

Quietly warm. Factual. Sympathetic. Detailed. Dependable. Organized. Thorough. Conscientious. Systematic. Conservative. Realistic. Caring. Practical. Stable. Helpful.

Comment:
After doing this Personality Test, I have discovered that I have a ISFJ personality as shown above. It is quite accurate as I prefer to focus on my inner world. Also, knowing that I have a ISFJ personality gives me a better and deeper understanding of myself. Therefore, I will do my best to improve myself.
Overall, this personality test describes me quite well.
